Wenhaston Learners: 1 day course April 1st
“Winged History”
For all too familiar reasons, the last two sessions of the Wenhaston WEA course had to be cancelled in March 2020.
Happily, tutor Ian Mclachlan, responding to popular demand, has agreed to complete his course on the USAAF in East Anglia during the Second World War.
The day course, to be held on Friday, 1st April, will cover the lost sessions that take a nostalgic look at the American presence in the area.
And, as a bonus, Ian will also give an insight into the pioneering men and women flyers of the 1920’s.
This course is not directly organised by the WEA and therefore there is no advanced booking.
The venue will be the Village Hall, Hall Road, Wenhaston IP19 9EP and the session will start at 10.00am, concluding around 3.30pm.
The fee of £18 is payable on the door by cash or by cheque and includes coffee/tea/biscuits at a mid-morning break.
Attendees will need to provide their own lunch (12.45pm – 1.30pm).
We very much look forward to seeing again those who enjoyed the truncated course of two years ago and to welcome newcomers too.
