Wenhaston Energy Support Group (WESG)

After 8 years of positive work in the community, during which time, many households have benefitted from projects, such as PV and Solar water, the group decided that it was time to move on. It was closed on 28th September 2015 at an Open Meeting at the Village Hall.

The final accounts were presented and donations were given to the Village Hall, for the installation of LED lights in the Main Hall, and to Blyth Woods to further their work.

Hopefully, the village will continue to find ways to become more energy efficient and reduce its carbon footprint, and others may have new ideas about how to achieve this.

We want to take this opportunity to express our thanks to all groups, individuals and organisations in the village and beyond for their unstinting support over the years leading to a greater awareness of climate change and how we as a community can take steps to reduce our carbon footprint. We hope that the work we've begun can be carried on by everyone going forward, both individually and collectively.

Please contact one of the group through this website if you require more information.
